A Successful Congress - Medical Travel World Congress 2008!

Global Healthcare 2009 – Crossing International Borders will discuss the forward issues that were hotly debated at the highly successful Medical Travel World Congress 2008 staged for the 1st time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (26 – 28 February 2008), where leading players in the global healthcare arena freely shared insights into salient issues toward charting the industry forward when crossing international borders.

At the Landmark CEO Talk Show, the Captains of Industry represented by a full panel of leading CEO’s from forward looking healthcare providers held a highly engaging discussion covering in-depth the issues of quality care, patient safety, managing risks, growth and capacity building issues, travel & customer service, liabilities & malpractice, and on partnerships going forward. Each CEO gave very candid views and perspectives on the present and future directions vis-à-vis the wider landscape of globalized healthcare.

At the opening plenary, Dato’ Ong Hong Peng, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia made the opening speech on behalf of the Deputy Minister of Tourism Malaysia, Dato’ Donald Lim Siang Chai.

Over 4 days, the participants joined in actively in the discussions at the workshops, congress, exhibition and also the site visits to the newly opened Prince Court Medical Centre and Intitut Jantung Negara (Heart Institute of Malaysia).
